Footnotes:
1. Liner notes from album:
How many worlds can one conquer? If you ask Dionne Warwick, she might
be too modest to give an honest answer, but her performance anywhere speaks for
itself.
For the first time, Dionne was recorded at the
world famous Olympia Theatre, and this ensemble of great songs is truly a
tribute to her talent and versatility and gives insight into ability to
completely captivate any audience.
The following review from Variety verifies the
opinions of those who were fortunate enough to catch her on her five week
engagement in Paris.

Dionne Warwick,
Sacha Distel
Paris, Jan 18
Dionne Warwick, encased in a tight fitting gold
dress, gives out with a keenly musician-like song-a-long comprising
torchy ballads, strong belting songs and occasional rock. She
has a fine voice, excellent stance and scores well. Miss Warwick
is one Yank singer who can put over her wares completely in English
and hit big. |
