Television - She was the face of 'Solid Gold' for two seasons from 1980 -1981 and 1985 -1986. Recording a total of 30 episodes for each season, she sang with practical everyone in the music business. Not long after this, she had her own programme, aptly titled, 'Dionne & Friends'. She has also appeared in countless variety specials and tributes. Print/Internet- I will try and post as many newspaper or on-line articles/stories of Dionne as and when I come across them. It is highly recommended that all fans read David Nathan's 'The Soulful Divas' published in 1999 by Billboard Books. Do read David's interview with Dionne which was conducted on 11 January 2003. Film - 'Slaves', her debut film in 1968 was not a commercial success although she did receive favourable reviews. This was followed by a B-grade movie in the 80's with Burt Reynolds and Liza Minelli titled, 'Rent-A-Cop' where she played a 'Madam'. Stage - Radio - BBC Radio 2 |
